My Critter Roommates

Thought I would share pictures of some of the critters that live in and around my house. They get better as you move down the page. Living in Thailand has made me a stronger person!
The weekend lawn mower

Frozen in the fridge. They are all over my house. Harmless little creatures.

Every corner is graced by a cobweb. I almost cleared them out one day but as I was about to destroy one a mosquito flew into it so I left them all.

I HATE ANTS!!!!

Not many birds in NKP but the few we do have like my house.

Have I mentioned I HATE ANTS!!! It's been at least a month and my skin from this bite is now just peeling.

He came and left quickly but was a cute little visitor

I hear these bugs are pretty yummy!

These ones are yummy too. Haven't tried a taste yet.

I think this is a worm that lives in a gecko poop. Not sure but they are all over my house.

This guy gave me the creeps!!!

Over staying its welcome. In that case, it was NEVER welcome!

Jinglee (cricket in Thai) My sweet girl. I didn't know her name for the longest time so I would call her Khow Niao (Sticky Rice). She just loved me and I loved her. She would follow me to school! One day I noticed she was gone and Pair told me they gave her to her uncle. I miss my little puppy!

Little Kitty didn't last long around the house and no one knew where she came from but he loved playing with Jinglee.

This is the neighbors dog. Can never remember her name. She hangs around my house more than her own home and sleeps on my porch at night. She's the color of Keuka but is always smelly. She was afraid of me for the longest time but now can't resist the urge to give me kisses on my hand when I get home from school.

Zero (pronounced celo) he's my family's dog. Our relationship has grown especially since Jinglee left. I think we both realize how much we miss her.

AND of course mice. They scurry about my ceiling. They have recently discovered my living room and bedroom. One even jumped out of my bed as I was climbing in last night. I put out a tasty treat for them and they were gone in the morning. Hopefully that does away with them. Gamon here helped me clear out the dying runt of the family. Thai kids, they'll touch any bug or grose animal we wouldn't come near. He brought it to Mah and she told me that she eats mice sometimes. EEW!!

  1. In my sanitized and clean modern apartment, I actually find myself missing all those critters- even the ants!
